Full Description:: Staff, students and members of the public are invited to attend a public lecture by Dr Daniel Dor, a visiting academic from Tel Aviv University, titled 'The Instruction of Imagination: Language as a Social Communication Technology at the UQ Art Museum at 4:00pm on Wednesday 27th September.

The lecture will be followed by a reception including drinks and canapes and is held in conjunction with the UQ node of the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Dynamics of Language's Research Showcase for 2017.

Dr Daniel Dor is the author of The Instruction of Imagination: Language as a Social Communication Technology (OUP, 2015) – a new conceptual framework for the description, analysis and explanation of human language as a socially-constructed communication technology.
