Full Description:
You are welcome to attend an Indigenous Design Place (IDP) Seminar focusing on Indigenous Research and Science. This Seminar will showcase the current research of Indigenous filmmaker Alison Page; Prof of Law, Brad Sherman; School of Biological Sciences PhD candidate, Ms Renee Rossini; Director of Indigenous enterprise Myuma PL, Adjunct Assoc Prof Colin Saltmere and Director of IDP, Prof Paul Memmott. Alison Page will present on her upcoming documentary film ‘Clever Country’; Prof Sherman will present his research on ‘Intellectual Property and Indigenous Knowledge’; Renee Rossini’s presentation will discuss ‘Raising aspirations in science education in rural and remote communities’; and Adjunct Assoc Prof Saltmere and Prof Memmott will present aspects of their collaborative work on spinifex research.

IDP is a research hub hosted by ISSR and the School of Architecture that draws together academics from across the HASS, Science and EAIT Faculties along with Indigenous collaborators and professional support.
