Event Description

Full Description:
St-healthy education in Australian schools; Dr Louise McCuaig proactively explores the manner in which interventionist thinking influences the provision of a robust HPE curriculum in Australian schools. This presentation does not attempt to establish a sense of who is right or wrong, but draws upon the Australian context to provide an overview of current debates and their implications for researchers and tertiary educators in the fields of health, sport and physical activity.
Validation of a class allocation method for wheelchair track athletes with impaired strength – a proof of concept study; Dr Mark Connick presents the outcomes of a study which evaluated six statistical methods that could be used to allocate athletes with impaired muscle strength to a wheelchair track class based on their isometric muscle strength.
