Event Description

Full Description:
Mozambique Peace unravels, Nagorno-Karabakh erupts, Israeli Palestinian recurrent violence and the Trump-Putin confrontation - these are at the forefront of current International Politics.
This Master Class offers an opportunity to explore these with leading conflict resolution scholar Professor Dan Druckman. We will discuss research on such topics as:
Justice in the peace process
Settlements and resolutions
Enemy Images
The contact hypothesis
The security dilemma
Alternative mediation approaches
Solutions are in demand but not offered. You are asked to help improve these sensitive situations using research knowledge - you will:
a) try to understand these complex situations; and
b) provide advice to the real-world actors.
Participants will engage in interactive learning exercises and have the opportunity to reflect on lessons learned for both scholarship and practice.
