- R. G. Campbell was editor of the Australian Journal for almost thirty years between 1926-1955 in a period when opportunities for freelance short story and serial writers peaked - and then swiftly disappeared. Join our Fryer Fellow Dr Roger Osborne as he discusses Campbell's unfinished memoirs and his plans for an anthology that would celebrate the authors he published. Dr Osborne will discuss the challenges posed by fragmented, hidden and lost archives, and introduce, as a work-in-progress, a digital edition of Campbell's 'The Australian Journal Story Book'.
Please join us for morning tea at 10.30am followed by Dr Osborne's talk at 11:00am.
