BEL Student Employability Team (SET) are excited to bring to the Edge Leadership Series Ms Andrea Staines as guest our first speaker for Semester 2, 2016.

ABOUT THE EDGE LEADERSHIP SERIES:
The Edge Student Leadership Series connects BEL students with inspirational leaders including CEOs, managing directors, partners, general managers and entrepreneurs from a range of industries.

Our guest speakers share their personal and career journeys, giving you invaluable first-hand insight into how business leaders get to the top of their game and how they overcome challenges.

GUEST SPEAKER PROFILE:
Andrea Staines, has been a full-time Non-Executive Director for over a decade, on a range of entities headquartered around Australia, in infrastructure, transport & logistics and retail service arenas. She has been a Director on entities in the listed, unlisted, government and social enterprise spaces. Andrea is often recruited to boards of companies planning significant transformation, bringing together her strategy, commercial, organisational and people management skills, and her international orientation.

Some of the organisation in which Andrea sits on their Board are, though not limited to the following:

QIC (Queensland Investment Corporation):
• One of the largest Australian wholesale fund managers, with alternative investments including infrastructure, real estate, private equity and fixed income.
• Clients include governments, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and insurers, from Australia, Europe, Middle East, Asia and US.
• Offices in UK, US and Australia

Sealink Travel Group:
• ASX 300.
• Growing Australian transport and tourism company
