Full Description:: Come along to hear Brendan Markey-Towler, current School of Economics UQ PhD student, propose a mathematical model of the psychological process which is integrated, holistic and systematic. Integrated, because this one model can explain and predict a huge range of psycho-behavioural phenomena within the rubric of one model. Holistic, because psycho-behavioural phenomena do not remain disconnected and isolated but rather exist within and in relation to the psychological process as a whole. Systematic, because we proceed logicomathematically from premise to conclusion in our journey through the realm of psyche. The model therefore offers us the hope of a general theory of psychology, with major implications for our understanding of economic behaviour.
