We are thrilled to announce that registrations are now open for the annual iDEA 2016 conference. If you are a medical doctor, medical student, or interested in public health and the environment do join us in Brisbane on 15-17 April at the University of Queensland. In addition to a stellar academic line up, we have an amazing array of social events such a morning ride, a night social and a trip to the famous Kangaroo Point cliffs.

We have an inspiring line up of leading local and international speakers, workshops, panels and breakouts including:

• Video by Bill McKibben, author, educator, environmentalist, and co-founder of 350.org, on How the World’s Most Successful Grass-Roots Organisation, 350.org, is Tackling Climate Change
• Keynote presentation by Ian Lowe, emeritus professor of science, technology and society at Griffith University
• An Introduction to the Field of Environmental Health by Luke Knibbs- learn the fundamentals and the future of environmental health, including career and research opportunities
• Storytelling to Translate the Challenging Science of Climate Change -how to communicate effectively - beyond the science!
• Sustainable cities and active transport with Billie Giles-Corti
• Global health in the Anthropocene: Addressing ecological determinants of health - learn about how we can improve global health with Tony Capon
• Presentation on Greening Hospitals by Forbes McGain, Australian anaesthetist, intensive care specialist and environmentalist and special workshop with leaders in the field of sustainability in hospitals
• Workshops on media training, housing and health, communicating with skeptics, population and consumption
