Cost of the Program

To minimise the cost to families, the UQ Young Scholars Program has been heavily subsidised by The University of Queensland.

The Program cost of $595 (inclusive of GST), includes all activities, meals and accommodation (5 nights in total) for both residential camps.

Transportation to and from UQ St Lucia for residential camps is the responsibility of parents/guardians. 

Fee waivers and travel bursaries will be available to assist students who would not otherwise be able to participate.  Evidence of financial hardship, including supporting documentation, must be supplied as part of the Student Application.  This may include the following:

• current Youth Allowance, ABSTUDY, or other Centrelink statement,
• parents' most recent ATO assessments, 
• a supporting statement from an appropriate referee (eg. school principal, school counsellor, religious leader), indicating his or her knowledge of your financial hardship, and/or
• any other documentation that you believe supports your claim of financial hardship.
