Designed to nurture and develop exceptional Year 11 students while they are still in high school, the program is a unique opportunity for extension and enrichment, without compromising a student’s ability to focus on his/her senior studies.

UQ Young Scholars will have an opportunity to discover, learn and engage with like-minded students from throughout Queensland, as well as the University’s academic community.

The UQ Young Scholars Program draws on the type of programs that a number of leading international universities have in place to ensure that very able high school students are developed and supported during their transition to university.
