Dr O'Leary’s research interests include molecular genetic causes of inherited diseases and cancer in dogs, cats and other veterinary species, and veterinary clinical pathology.
I graduated with a degree in veterinary science from The University of Queensland in 1986. I worked in general mixed and small animal practice in QLD and SA and the United Kingdom until being awarded a PhD from The University of Queensland for research performed at The University of Queensland, Murdoch University and The University of Western Australia. These studies were on inherited renal and cardiac diseases affecting English Bull Terriers.
