Construction of new School of Veterinary Science at Gatton begins
Monday 29 September marked a momentous day for the School of Veterinary Science with the commencement of the construction of the new veterinary science buildings at the UQ Gatton Campus.
Preliminary site work on the four separate building sites is now underway with the first site meeting held on Tuesday 7 October.
The construction program will continue until mid December 2009 when the buildings will be handed over to the University in preparation for the start of teaching in February 2010.
The University has appointed Laing O'Rourke as the project builder.
In 2010, first year veterinary science students will commence studies at Gatton and at the same time all other currently enrolled students will transfer to the Gatton Campus.
