Accreditation
The School of Veterinary Science has full accreditation with both the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
In 2010 the School was visited by a site team representing both the Australasian (Aus and NZ) and United Kingdom accreditation bodies. Full accreditation was granted for the maximum of seven years entitling UQ graduates to practice in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Hong Kong and most of Asia.
The School hosted an initial (consultative) visit from the American Veterinary Association in August 2011. The visit team agreed that the School is ready for the second stage of the accreditation process - a comprehensive site visit, which is envisaged for late 2012.
