TEDI’s mission is to cultivate excellence in learning and teaching at The University of Queensland through research, development and innovation.
Higher Education Research and Scholarship:
- TEDI’s academic staff conduct research on discipline-specific teaching and learning issues, as well as broader issues facing higher education
- We disseminate effective teaching and learning practices, showcase teaching and learning achievements, and support academics’ participation in recognition and reward schemes
Evaluations:
- TEDI supports academic staff in collecting, interpreting and acting on data to enhance the quality of teaching and learning
- We conduct student evaluation surveys, and can help academic staff develop evaluation strategies to gather information about their practice. We also offer a range of evaluation resources to help academic staff address particular teaching and learning issues
Educational Technologies:
- TEDI promotes and supports the effective and sustainable use of technology for teaching and learning
We work to:
- Enhance the quality of faculty and University online teaching resources
- Support innovative uses of new technologies that lead to effective educational practices
- Promote professional development in eTeaching
