	Biography

Tony is a PhD candidate and research assistant specialising in Pacific history.

Tony started his higher research degree at the University of Queensland in 2003. His research is based on a critical examination of Australia's administration of the Territory of Papua-New Guinea in the post-Pacific war period and the development project this Administration sought to implement. The research is specifically concerned with relations between Australia's patrol officers and local peoples and communities in the period leading up to Independence in 1975.
