	Biography

Professor David Wilkinson is Head of the School of Medicine at the University of Queensland.

Primary care and interventions especially around skin cancer medicine, cardiovascular diseases, rural health workforce; medical education and international health. My current main research interests are in primary care and associated interventions, especially in the areas of skin cancer medicine and cardiovascular disease, both in Australia but also internationally in
South Africa. I collaborate with Professor Simon Stewart in this work and have a number of research students working on related projects. I also have projects underway in aspects of skin cancer medicine, medical education as well as rural health epidemiology and workforce issues. I have published over 180 papers in peer-reviewed journals and supervise several higher degree research students.
