The biology of fish.

Biology of fish, including learning, recognition systems, grouping behaviour, predator avoidance, foraging behaviour, prey choice, consumption-growth relationships, bioenergetics and habitat requirements. Fisheries biology, especially population dynamics, catchability and stock assessment.

Main species: silver perch, rainbow fish, freshwater gudgeons, invasive livebearers, penaeid prawns, inshore marine fish species.
