Dr Fu-Yang Wang's research interests are in: dynamics and control of distributed parameter processes; and applications of advanced control theory to non-linear chemical processes. He received his PhD from the University of Waterloo in 1985. He is Chief Investigator (CI) for the following projects:
• Multi-scale, multi-form approach to the modelling, design and control of complex particulate processes (ARC-Discovery)
• Optimisation and control of granulation processes using structure switching models (ARC-Large)
• Discrete element method for analysis and design of pharmaceutical encapsulation (ARC-Linkage)
His collaborative research projects are:
• Global stability and performance analysis of non-linear systems using multiple model based controllers (ARC-Large)
• Scale-up and intelligent control of granulation processes (ARC-Linkage)
• Multi-component gas transport in deep coal (ARC-Discovery)
