Impacts of climate change on coastal ecosystems

Simon Walker completed his PhD in Marine Ecology at the University of Queensland, on the effects of climate change on coral reef biodiversity. He has broad interests in marine ecology, including the impacts of humans on marine ecosystems, how biodiversity affects ecosystem productivity and function, and effective rehabilitation techniques to mitigate environmental degradation. Simon has worked on a variety of topics across a broad range of ecosystems within Australia and abroad, such as coral reefs, artificial reefs, sandy beaches, mangrove forests, saltmarshes and freshwater ecosystems
