| Australian Coastal Archaeology |
| | Over the last 10 years I have undertaken a variety of archaeological projects along the length of the Queensland coast, focusing on the elucidation of late Holocene culture change. I have published on a range of these studies, based on detailed analyses of excavated coastal faunal assemblages, particularly fish and shellfish remains. |

| Isotopic Dating in Archaeology |
| | Since 1995 I have published a number of papers on aspects of isotopic dating and the radioactive- and stable-isotopic chemistry of coastal and near-coastal archaeological assemblages in Australia. My interests here have several facets but revolve around the exploration of the relationship between patterns in suites of dates and historical trajectories on the one hand and an evaluation of the accuracy of radiocarbon dates and site chronologies on the other. |
