Dr Jennifer Tichon    Senior Research Fellow

	Biography

Jennifer's current research focus is the design and evaluation of virtual environments to deliver training for responding to hazardous workplace situations. Of special interest are employee training programs designed to enhance critical thinking under stress.

Dr Tichon has a background in Psychology and Social Work and completed her PhD through the University of Queensland in the field of Computers and Human Behavior. Prior to joining the School of Human Movement Studies she was located in the Centre for Online Health where she pursued her interest in the psychological aspects of immersion in virtual environments. An early project investigating the impact of immersive environments on experiential learning in clinical psychology led progressively to her current specialization in virtual reality based education and training in high-affect situations.
Jennifer is also involved in research investigating therapeutic applications of Virtual Environments.
