 Biography

Kim Seow graduated BDS from The University of Adelaide and received her MDSc, PhD and DDSc from The University of Queensland. She is the inaugural director of the School of Dentistry’s Centre for Paediatric Dentistry and coordinator of the School’s clinical specialty training program in Paediatric Dentistry. She is also Director of the BOralHealth Program and Chair of the School's T&L Committee. She is the author of over 170 original scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals.

She serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Dental Research and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and has held visiting professorships at Harvard University, the Children’s Hospital, Boston and the University of Minnesota.
Her current research interests include the oral colonisation of cariogenic bacteria in children, prevention of early childhood caries, use of sealants for preventive dentistry and developmental dental abnormalities.
