Professor Saunders’ research interests include; Race relations, gender roles, cultural history, Australian constitution, World War 2, national security and war. Professor Saunders holds a BA hons in Anthropology and Sociology UQ (1970), and a PhD UQ (1975). She currently teaches in the areas of Australian and US history, war and society, gender relations, and race relations.
Her current research projects include Miss Australia Quest; and national minorities in war.
