In contexts that require an innovative work environment—including leadership teams and new technology based SME clusters, there is a lot of sharing of know-how. These types of interactions are critical to the innovation process and firm growth across numerous contexts. However, the interactive process of sharing of know-how and its impact on the innovation process and firm growth are not well understood. My research seeks to address this void. Patricia Rowe entered academic life after a 20-year career in management. Patricia is a lecturer in the Organisation and Communication Cluster. She teaches in areas related to organisational behaviour, leadership, change management and strategic human resource management. Patricia currently serves as chair of the School Research Ethics Committee. Her research interest is in understanding the interactive process of sharing of know-how and its impact on the innovation process and firm growth. Patricia has published a number of book chapters and refereed journal articles and has presented her work at premier international and national management conferences, including the American Academy of Management, International Council of Small Business, European Group of Organisational Studies and the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management.
