David Rooney is interested in assisting all kinds of businesses and policy making organisations to strategically and tactically understand how to improve performance and bring about positive change through better use of knowledge, creativity and wisdom. Rooney is recognised internationally as a leading thinker about knowledge related matters.
David Rooney's principle teaching interests are in knowledge management and change management. He supervises research students with interests in creative industries, knowledge management and change management. His PhD was based on historical studies of the relationship between technology and various levels of organization in the Australian music industry. David has published extensively in relation to knowledge-based economies, knowledge management, change management and creative industries. He has won in the vicinity of $1.5 million in competitive research and teaching grants. He is currently Co-Director of the Australian Creative Resources Online (ACRO) research centre and formerly Director of the Business School's Business Communication Program and Associate Director of the Centre for Social Research in Communication.
