Dr Aleksandar Rakic    Senior Lecturer

	Biography

Dr Aleksandar Rakic's research interests are in: Design of optical interconnections for digital computers, Photonic devices and materials, Algorithms for computer aided design of photonic devices and Computer controlled systems for photonic and RF measurements.

He received his PhD from the University of Queensland. His current research projects are in the fields of:

• Optical Interconnects using Arrays of Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Lasers
• Design and Modelling of Organic Microcavity Light Emitting Diodes
• Automated Techniques for Optical & Electrical Characterisation of Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Lasers (VCSELs) & 2D VCSEL Arrays
