 Biography

Interphase crystallography in metals and alloys; Grain refinement during solidification

I joined UQ in September 2005 just after I got my PhD degree from Tsinghua University. Since then, I participated in two ARC Discovery Projects on light metals. In 2008, I was awarded the UQ postdoctoral fellow, working on the crystallography in low dimesional semiconductor materials. Two years later, I was awarded an Australian Research Fellow, keeping the research on in-depth understanding of crystallography in solid-solid phase transformations. As an ECR with 4.5 years experience, I have published 25 peer-reviewed journal papers to date, including 9 of them published in Acta Materialia, the top journal in my research field.
