	Biography

Professor David Paterson research interest includes study of the molecular and clinical epidemiology of infections with antibiotic resistant organisms. This focus of this work is the translation of knowledge into optimal prevention and treatment of these infections.

David L Paterson is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Queensland Centre for Clinical Research (UQCCR). He is also an Infectious Diseases Physician, Consultant Microbiologist and Medical Advisor for the Centre for Healthcare Related Infection Prevention and Surveillance (CHRISP).
