Dr Jan Packer    Senior Research Fellow

	Biography

Dr Jan Packer's research interests are in the areas of visitor studies; free-choice learning; museum learning; and educational psychology.

Dr Jan Packer has a strong background in educational research and has published broadly in the area of educational psychology over many years. The current major focus of her research is in applying the principles of educational psychology to understand and facilitate visitor experiences in leisure settings such as museums and tourist facilities. She has over 40 refereed publications in the areas of visitor studies, informal learning, environmental education and higher education. Jan was co-editor of the international journal, Visitor Studies from 2005 through 2011.
