 Biography

Dr Remo Ostini is a Research Fellow at the Healthy Communities Research Centre.

With a background in psychometric methods and bioethics he has taught psychological measurement and multivariate statistics in Australia and the USA. In his research he has modeled behaviour at the individual difference (moral conceptualisations) and population (prescribing medicine) level. A commitment to evidence-based healthcare has been the foundation for recent work for the Department of Health and Ageing, modeling the role of cardiovascular stenting on clopidogrel prescribing rates as well as two comprehensive systematic literature reviews on prescribing influences and prescribing interventions. It is also the driving force behind a recent comprehensive systematic review for the Australian Primary Health Care Research Institute, aimed at improving health literacy in Australia through the primary healthcare system.
