 Biography

Graeme's research expertise is the law of politics, in particular electoral law.

Graeme has written or edited four books on electoral law, with a fifth under contract. His PhD tackled electoral bribery and its regulation and he regularly writes media commentary, reports and submissions on the law of politics. In addition, Graeme has published extensively in labour law, the law of negligence and on issues of language and law.

Formerly an Associate in the Federal Court of Australia, and admitted as a Solicitor (Qld), Graeme was an Associate Professor at Griffith University Law School, where he taught for over 13 years before joining The University of Queensland in 2007. He is International Editor of the Election Law Journal, a member of the editorial boards of the Australian Journal of Labour Law and was formerly a columnist for both the Alternative Law Journal and the Australian Journal of Administrative Law, as well as managing editor of the Griffith Law Review.
