Dr Karen Moni is Director of Secondary Programs in the School of Education at the University of Queensland. She co-ordinates the English curriculum courses and teaches in the areas of reading and young adult literature in undergraduate and post-graduate programs. She has had extensive experience teaching and researching in the field of English and literacy education in the UK and in Australia. Her research interests include adolescent literacy and literature, literacy and young adults with intellectual disabilities and teacher education. Karen is a past president of ETAQ and is the current editor of English in Australia, the national journal for AATE.
