	Biography

Dr Joan Leach’s research interests include testimony in scientific institutional practice, scientific decorum, scientific representations of lay audiences, and science in the media.

She is the author of articles on:

• science communication
• the rhetoric of science
• the history of communication in medicine

Editor of:

• Social Epistemology published quarterly in the UK by Taylor and Francis.

Co-editor of:

• the forthcoming Oxford Companion to Science Studies.
