 Biography

Dr Karen Kheruntsyan’s research interests are in the fields of: Bose-Einstein Condensation and Atom Lasers; Quantum and Atom Optics; Quantum Field Theory; Quantum and Classical Soliton Theory; Nonlinear Optics; Squeezed and Nonclassical States of Light; Quantum Quasiprobability Methods and Phase-Space Representation Theory.

He received his PhD from The National Academy of Sciences, Armenia in 1993. His chief research projects are in the areas of:

  • Coupled Atomic-Molecular Bose-Einstein Condensates
  • Degenerate Quantum Gases in Lower Dimensions
  • Boson and Fermion Correlations in Molecule Dissociation
