Research in innovation, economic growth and evolutionary economics Tim Kastelle graduated from Princeton University with a degree in economics. He has worked in marketing and management positions in a variety of industries including radio, office equipment, industrial chemicals, higher education and software.
After completing his MBA (Advanced) at the UQ Business School, Tim began his PhD research on applying evolutionary economics to the management of firms. His research program is primarily concerned with investigating the implications of viewing the economy and firms as complex evolving systems.
The topic of his PhD was “Analysing the Evolution of International Trade: A Complex Networks Approach”, and the work in it has applications in innovation studies, strategic management and evolutionary economics. Tim’s work has appeared in leading conferences and journals, such as the leading journal Research Policy.
