	Biography

Floriculture; development of new native flower crops for export; management of wild flowers; community horticulture; tree establishment and tree failure.

Research Interests:
My major research interest is the domestication of Australian plants with export floriculture potential and have recently gained Plant Breeders Rights protection for 3 Ptilotus cultivars. My research interests include flowering physiology and methods of manipulating flowering time by environmental or chemical signaling, phosphate toxicity, and the management of phosphate sensitive plants, molecular taxonomy, reproductive biology, plant breeding and selection, barriers to root formation including chemical inhibitors, auxin sensitivity and transport.
