 Biography

Carly Jenkins is a Senior Research Fellow for the Cardiac Imaging Group.

Carly has been working in the field of echocardiography for the past 11 years. The last 8 years she has changed from private practice to work in the research arena for the University of Queensland. Under guidance of Professor Thomas H Marwick she has completed her PhD in Three Dimensional echocardiography and is now considered a leader in this field of cardiac ultrasound. She has had many major articles published along with numerous minor articles. She has presented her work and has been an invited speaker at many of the major international and Australian cardiology and echocardiography meetings. In 2004 she received the Alan D. Waggoner Sonographer scholarship award from the American Society of Echocardiography; was a finalist for the young investigator award at the American Society of Echocardiography in 2009 and won the young investigator award for clinical science at the 2009 European Society of Cardiology.
