From 1997-2004 I worked for Qld Parks and Wildlife Service on natural resource management and planning issues. Since 2003, I have worked through the University of Queensland on a range of Australian and international research projects relating to protected area management. During this time I have also undertaken an Honours thesis on the sustainability of donor conservation aid. I am particularly interested in environmental management issues including: protected area planning and management; policy and governance; aid effectiveness; conservation and development projects and evaluation; and mechanisms for improving stakeholder involvement in planning processes.
