	Biography

Dr Daphne Hsieh’s research interests include teaching and learning Chinese as a second language, acquisition of Mandarin tones by English speakers, and popular Chinese fiction.

Her current research project examines contemporary Chinese knight-errant novels and film/TV adaptations.

Her other activities include:
* Organisation of School's annual "A Taste of University Chinese" program - an activity for high school students of Queensland
* Teaching of Chinese literature in Brisbane weekend Chinese language school.
