Professor Hockings research focusses on evaluating the effectiveness of proteted area management
Professor Hockings worked for the
Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service before
joining the University in 1992. He is Vice-Chair
of the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas where he is responsible for their Science and Management program.
