TEDI, 6 Rock Street, St Licia Campus Greetings :-D
Welcome to my official University of Queensland home page.
My current role is Lecturer in Higher Education (e-Learning) within the Teaching and Educational Development Institute (TEDI). I joined TEDI in February 2011.
I specialise in e-learning and in particular e-assessment with a focus on web 2.0 and 3D virtual world environments.
Immediately prior to joining University of Queensland I worked on Transforming Assessment (see http://transformingassessment.com) with Professor Geoffrey Crisp and Shamim Joarder at University of Adelaide and as well as teaching within UofA's Graduate Certificate in Online Learning (Higher Education). In the past I have been a discipline based academic in higher education in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong (China) since 1997. I have teaching experience in traditional, online and transnational education in areas such as organisational information management, information systems, project management, computer applications, digital media design, website design/interface usability, e-commence/e-business, social-technical problem analysis, critique, critical thinking, social informatics and business communications.
I welcome further consulting and collaborative research opportunities in any of the areas listed on these pages.
The best way to contact me is via email, as i am often away from my desk phone.
Special notes for potential PhD research students: please read the 'available projects' link for an indication of topics which I am interested in supervising.
