Mr John Gunders, BA(Hons), MA, Grad Cert Education

	Biography

John researches in the area of popular culture and cultural studies.

John has been involved in a number of projects and events as a casual research or administrative assistant in the Centre, before starting as project officer for the ARC Cultural Research Network in February 2005.

He has taught cultural studies and literary theory courses in the School of English, Media Studies and Art History at UQ, and in media studies at QUT.

He is a part-time PhD candidate in the School of EMSAH, looking at the cultural category of authenticity as a meaning-making trope in the study of popular music, food television, and travel writing.
