 Biography

Internationalisation of higher education; academic development; curriculum development; narrative research

Dr Wendy Green is a lecturer in higher education at the Teaching and Educational Development Institute. Her research interests concern cross-cultural teaching and learning. She has a background in critical, feminist approaches to textual analysis, particularly in the fields of literature, film and media. She brings her scholarly interest in narrative to the study of cross-cultural teaching and the learning experiences of students and academics.
She currently reseaches in the following areas:
a) Internationalising the curriculum and inclusive teaching and learning, particularly study abroad, the theorisation of an internationalised curriculum, and the induction, transition and inclusion of international academic staff.
b) Academic development, particularly through the adaptation of Lave and Wenger's concept of communities of practice.
