 Biography

Dr Geoff Ginn’s research interests include historic heritage, public history in the Queensland setting, history of cultural policy, historical archaeology and heritage tourism.

Dr Ginn is a lecturer in history, teaching in the areas of Public & Applied History, Heritage Studies, Environmental History, Modern Britain.

His current research projects include:

  • A study of the life and collections of JSM Ward; and
  • Cultural philanthropy in late-Victorian London.


Dr Ginn is the Director, Centre for Applied History & Heritage Studies, and the Executive Director of Histori|co Research Services (a trading name of UniQuest P/L). Geoff supervises collection development and manages all consulting projects undertaken through the Centre, and is involved in a range of publishing, community and promotional activities.
