My thesis, “Cosmopolitanism and Contemporary Art”, interrogates the institutional and theoretical contexts that shape new art centring on relationality and communication. Theories of subjectivity, spatiality and creativity inflect this work. Kiley Gaffney is a doctoral candidate in cultural studies. Previously, Kiley was a professional performing and recording artist and remains committed to her art and music interests. Both her academic and creative lives often intersect, undoubtedly shaping their content and direction.
