Research Fellow Dr Hui Feng is a research fellow at the School of Political Scicence and International Studies at the University of Queensland. Dr. Feng is also a Contributory Editor of Central Banking Journal. He holds an MA from Peking University (China) and a PhD (UQ).
Dr Feng's research interests are international political economy and comparative studies on China's economic transition.
Dr Feng's book on the politics of China's accession to the World Trade Organisation was published by Routledge in 2006. He has also published in prominent journals such as Political Studies and Review of International Political Economy. His forthcoming book, The Rise of the People's Bank of China: the politics and structural dynamics of institutional change (Harvard University Press), examines the power shift within China's macroeconomic management and its impact on monetary policy. His current ARC project is on the political and institutional dynamics of China's banking reform since the Asian financial crisis.
