 Biography

His research interests include: economic appraisal of health care programs; developing health economic models to examine public health interventions or modes of public health service delivery; and, educating public health care researchers on the need for effective, efficient and equitable health care interventions.

A/Prof. Chris Doran has a joint appointment with School of Economics and the School of Population Health. Chris has recently moved from the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (University of New South Wales) where he was the principal health economist on the National Evaluation of Pharmacotherapies for Opioid Dependence (NEPOD) project. Chris is currently working with Prof. Alan Lopez and A/Prof. Theo Vos on the Burden of Disease and Cost-effectiveness program.
