 Biography

Pamela Dodrill has broad clinical and research interested in feeding and swallowing problems, nutrition, and growth in young children.

Pamela is employed as a Research Fellow at the Children’s Nutrition Research Centre. Her research is based on-site at the Royal Children’s Hospital and Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital. Her current roles include supervision of honours, masters, and PhD students, as well as coordinating the Neonatal and Infant Therapy Interest Group, a nation-wide collaboration for health professionals and researchers working with young children. Pamela’s previous roles have included maintaining the national Ozgrow database, which monitors the growth of children in receipt of growth hormone treatment across Australia and New Zealand. Pamela completed her PhD titled “Feeding and growth patterns in preterm infants” through the Children’s Nutrition Research Centre and the Discipline of Paediatrics & Child Health, School of Medicine, The University of Queensland.

Pamela has worked clinically with children with feeding and swallowing problems at the Royal Children’s Hospital for a number of years. She also teaches courses and workshops on managing paediatric feeding problems for under-graduate students and practicing health professionals.
