Associate Professor Helen Creeses research interests include Balinese textual and literary traditions, and Balinese history and historiography. Her current research projects include an investigation into textual traditions, identity and cultural production in contemporary Bali; a literary history of Bali, an edition of the letters and reports of Pierre Dubois the first Dutch agent in Bali from 1829-1830, and a number of projects on precolonial Balinese history.
