Associate Professor Cranston joined the School of Education in 2005. He worked previously at the Queensland University of Technology, held various regional and central office positions in Education Queensland and taught science (Head of Department) and mathematics in secondary schools. He is an Adjunct Professor (Unitec Institute, Auckland - 2008-2010) and Visiting University Fellow (University of Tasmania - 2008).
